March 11, 2011 marked a turning point towards a better future for Japan and the world.

Rebuilding from Great East Japan Earthquake is definitely a priority for those affected by the disaster, but it is also vital in building a new foundation upon which we will create a better future for Japan.
Kokusai Kogyo Group has long supported Japan and its social infrastructure development—in Japan's post-World War II recovery, through its rapid economic growth, to this post-3.11 world—and is working vigorously towards the rebuilding of Japan through the application of the "green communities" concept it has been advocating to date, a concept that involves the building of community-oriented, low-carbon, safe and secure, people- and environmentally-friendly cities equipped to cope with disasters.
Through our three core competencies, infrastructure and renewable energy driven by the geospatial information technologies and expertise, Kokusai Kogyo Group is committed to doing everything it can and must do to achieve its goal of creating "green communities" in Japan and other countries around the world that face similar issues.
We are on the verge of realizing a new vision of Japan and the world as a G-spatial society*1 in which geospatial information is used to make our lives safer and more affluent. As a leader in geospatial information technologies both in Japan and overseas, Kokusai Kogyo Group is dedicated to realizing this G-spatial society through a range of initiatives aimed at building and utilizing geospatial information databases, which constitute a new form of social infrastructure supporting our livelihoods and economic activities. The technology and expertise accumulated through our long history in assisting national government and local municipalities will be made available to our corporate clients in Japan and overseas with leading geospatial information solutions for the pursuit of operational and marketing efficiencies, improvements in distribution, and the preparation of Business Continuity Plans.
As a first step towards the realization of “green communities”, Kokusai Kogyo Group announced in its Mid-term Management Plan 2010 the re-engineering of its geospatial information segment and real estate segment and the creation of a new green energy segment, all together transforming the Group into a true green infrastructure pioneer. We have since implemented these changes. Our three new business segments, geospatial information consulting, green property, and green energy, will be operated in such a way that the group's cohesion and collective strength are brought into full play.
As a leading player with an eye towards rebuilding Japan, making contributions to the world and supporting the coming G-spatial society as one of its pioneers, Kokusai Kogyo Group is committed not only to tackling the short-term issues but to adopting a medium-and long-term view of things as we strive not only to improve ourselves but to create a better future in Japan and around the world.

*1 A G-spatial society is one that is based on and supported by advanced geospatial information technologies. Namely, a more convenient and vibrant society where geospatial and positional information can be used and accessed by anyone, anytime, anywhere.
